Anthony Luna, President

History

Anthony Luna brings a lifetime of discipline, strength, and leadership to California Wolves Baseball. As our President, he oversees organizational strategy, operations, and the development of a culture built on hard work, integrity, and excellence.

Anthony grew up in New Mexico, where baseball and football weren’t just games—they were a way of life. That early foundation taught him the value of commitment, sacrifice, and pushing past limits. He later became a professional bodybuilder, certified strength coach, and weight‑training specialist—dedicating decades to helping athletes unlock their full physical potential.

His expertise is rooted in proven, science‑based methods. Anthony has worked with pitchers to build sustainable arm strength and velocity, with hitters to develop the explosive kinetic drive needed for deep line drives and home runs, and with fielders to strengthen legs and lower bodies for quick bursts of speed. He understands that true strength isn’t about water weight—it’s about functional muscle that translates directly to performance on the diamond.

Anthony is also a devoted husband, father, and follower of Christ. His faith guides his commitment to serving others, and his warm, grounded leadership makes him the ideal partner to help steer this organization toward its ambitious goals.

When his longtime friend and former colleague Frank Harper invited him to join California Wolves Baseball, Anthony accepted without hesitation. He saw a chance to combine his passion for athletic development with a mission to build young men and women of character.

“Strength isn’t just what you lift—it’s who you are when no one is watching. I’m here to help our athletes become stronger in body, mind, and spirit.” – Anthony Luna

Frank Harper – Founder & Athletic Director

History

Frank Harper is the founder and driving force behind California Wolves Baseball. With over 15 years of experience coaching and developing elite youth athletes, Frank has built a reputation for turning talented players into disciplined, high‑character competitors.

Born and raised without the presence of positive male role models, Frank learned early on that the path to greatness is forged through discipline, not excuses. He took those lessons to Texas, where he founded Katy Elite Baseball—a travel ball program that became a powerhouse across the state and beyond. For years, Katy Elite traveled the country, competing in top‑tier tournaments, earning sponsorships, and, most importantly, teaching young men the value of integrity, hard work, and showing up when it counts.

Frank’s record speaks for itself. He has put more players into college baseball programs than Texas has cows—a testament to his ability to develop not just athletes, but young men ready to succeed at the next level.

Now, Frank has brought that same Texas grit to California. His mission with California Wolves Baseball is clear: build the most competitive youth baseball and softball organization in the world. He’s here to prove that California is more than Hollywood and stars—it’s a breeding ground for elite athletes who train hard, stay humble, and let their results do the talking.

Frank is a man of his word. He demands 1000% effort, sets the bar high, and never accepts mediocrity. He is fair, just, and equal—but he is also unafraid to stand for what’s right. His leadership is rooted in decades of hands‑on coaching, and his passion for developing young people is matched only by his belief in their potential.

When asked why he’s building this organization, Frank puts it simply: “We don’t make excuses. We accept our mistakes, we get better, and we achieve our goals. That’s what we do in this family.”

“I’ve spent my life helping young athletes realize they are capable of more than they ever imagined. Now, I’m bringing that same fire to California. The pack is forming. Hunt as one.” – Frank Harper

Star Yang – Health & Medical Director

History

Star Yang – Health & Medical Director

Star Yang is a dedicated Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) with a valid California nursing license. She currently serves as a nurse at a local hospital, where her compassion and clinical expertise have earned her the respect of patients and colleagues alike. Now, she brings her medical knowledge and lifelong passion for the game to California Wolves Baseball as our Health & Medical Director.

Star grew up immersed in baseball and softball. Her father was a player and later a coach, her brother played competitive baseball for a decade, and she herself took the field in softball for many years. That deep‑rooted love for the sport—combined with her professional training—makes her uniquely qualified to ensure the safety and well‑being of every athlete in our program.

In her role, Star oversees all medical aspects of the organization: from coordinating on‑site coverage at practices, training sessions, and tournaments, to developing injury‑prevention protocols and ensuring that every player receives the highest standard of care. She is also pursuing her Master’s degree, using this position to further her commitment to youth development.

Star is known for her kindness, honesty, and tireless work ethic. When her former coach, Frank Harper, asked her to join the California Wolves Baseball family, she signed on without hesitation. She believes wholeheartedly in the organization’s mission to build elite athletes and, more importantly, strong, disciplined young people.

“I grew up around the game. I know what it means to be part of a team that pushes you to be your best. Now I get to help protect that experience for the next generation.” – Star Yang
